Success Story of EastEssence's Donation Camp Held during Eid in 2014

EastEssence.com, the popular online shopping portal of Islamic clothes believes that there is much more that they can do than just producing and selling clothes. To make the holy month of Ramadan special for the deprived, EastEssence encouraged donation of food and clothes through the donation camps that were held in Michigan, Mexico, Pennsylvania, Palo Alto and Chicago. This attempt of sharing love and spreading hope to the needy was praised by one and all.

50 volunteer sisters from Pennsylvania Eid Distribution, Culver City, Al-Aqsa Islamic Society  Al-Aqsa Masjid, Norristown Islamic Society, An-Noor Masjid and The Foundation for Islamic Education Villanova Masjid contributed immensely and handed over various apparels including Abayas to the sisters belonging to indigent families. Some of the sisters have shared their thoughts about the drive. Here is what some sisters had to say about EastEssence's initiative.

Zeretta (Zariayt) appreciated the thought and said, “On behalf of all who benefited from your generosity during the blessed month of Ramadan, we would like to say thank you EastEssence!

Sister Hebatallah, a volunteer expressed her joy of giving and this is what she had to say- “All the sisters from all the Masjids were very, very, very happy to receive the Abayas. They all expressed how beautiful they are and love the designs and colors. I cannot tell you how many hugs I received and how many ladies had teary eyes as they opened the brand new Abayas! Some even said that this is the first time for them to wear an Abaya that has not been passed down to them by someone else! It made me feel so humble and so gracious to Allah for letting me be a small part of their joyful experience, Al Hamdulillah.

The owner/founder of Muslimahs Covered With Care, Tanya Cantu, was proud to be a part of the drive and blessed all those who participated as well as those were benefited from the camp. She sent her blessing across by saying,“Jazaki Allahu Khairan to the East Essence team for your support, May Allah reward you all immensely, Ameen.

Little acts of kindness can bring a smile on the faces of the deprived. EastEssence restores the faith in humanity through the giving back programs it organizes from time to time. The valuable contribution of each volunteer was valued and the organization thanked everyone for their immense contribution in making the donation camp a success.
